I graduated with a MEng in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. During that time I took part in Railway research projects at NTUA, where I first got in contact with Quality (without even knowing about it) for projects regarding defining the superstructure regulations and specifications for metro lines and metric railways in Greece.
I have taken part in various Engineering Design projects in Greece as a Project Manager Assistant or a Project Manager, and I am a member of the Hellenic Organization for Standardization Technical Committee for the ISO 31000 Risk Management Standards’ family, assisting in the development of relevant Greek Standards and Services, and monitoring and participating in the activities of International and European Standards in the field of Risk Management.
I am a certified Project Management Associate IPMA Level D, and was the Project Manager and co-author of educational material for the E-learning course “Advanced Project Management – Professional Education” for the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens E-learning Centre.
I am currently a Quality Assurance Engineer with Balfour Beatty, working within the Major Projects sector and specifically in the nuclear industry. I am also involved in the development of Nuclear Management Systems and delivering Quality Systems & Project Management training within my current project and within Balfour Beatty, as well as taking part in mentoring and reverse mentoring programs.
