Employment:

Quality Manager, North West Projects Ltd.

Brief career and education history:

BSc(Hons) in Physics, University of Manchester, 2008.

Started working in the nuclear industry in summer 2008.

Completed a graduate engineering scheme with Amec (now Wood) in 2011.

Various engineering roles: development of remote operations equipment and techniques for existing fleet of nuclear power stations, on-site inspection, manufacturing engineering secondment, materials testing, regulatory advice to nuclear new build, etc.

Moved into quality management late 2014 and joined the CQI at this time.

Diploma in Quality Management with a CQI-approved education centre, 2018.

Chartered Quality Professional - Member, late 2018.

Joined North West Projects as their full-time Quality Manager in 2017.

I joined the NNG Steering Group for the same reason many of our members do; to help build my professional network, and to make use of best practice in my own business by learning from others.

With the NNG, I can do this whilst giving something back to the nuclear industry and its institutions. My personal mission is to promote the role of quality management in addressing some of the unique requirements of the nuclear industry, and to assist others with their early career development.
